Marvel X Ippudo Collaboration Continues With Captain America- And Iron Man-Inspired Ramen In Tokyo

Marvel and Ippudo, the latter of which also happens to be a popular ramen chain in Japan, teamed up once again for a deliciously epic ramen and superhero collaboration.

The ramen chain hosted a two-day pop-up at its Minami Aoyama outpost in Tokyo, on May 13 and 14. 200 lucky visitors had the opportunity to indulge in a special menu, priced at 4,500 yen ($42 USD), which included two types of ramen, a side of rice balls, a special t-shirt, and more.

The meal was inspired by the new Marvel movie Captain America: Civil War. The two bowls of ramen, naturally, represented each side of the fight, and were served in special Captain America and Iron Man-themed bowls, details Rocket News 24.

The Captain America bowl featured "long stalks of arrow-like komatsuna greens," representing Hawkeye, one of Captain American's allies, and black pepper ramen for Ant Man. For the Iron Man bowl, ally Spider Man is represented by spider web-like cotton candy and carrot-infused noodles to mimic Black Widow's "fiery locks."

Also included in the meal were rice balls with seaweed stamped with imagery of Marvel characters, a glass of Super-Soldier Serum Soda, Winter Noodles for snacking, and Captain America-themed panna cotta for dessert. Lastly, each guest got to take home a Marvel x Ippudo t-shirt commemorating the collaboration.

The Daily Meal reached out to Ippudo, which confirmed that more Marvel x Ippudo events are coming, however the chain is unable to release official information at this time.
