This Bacon Cheeseburger Comes With A Shot Of Bourbon In The Middle Of It

We'd like to take a shot at this garnishing gimmick. Chicken and Sons, a Sydney restaurant well known for its top-notch burgers, has gained popularity for its Bourbon Burger: a bacon cheeseburger with a bagel instead of a usual bun.In the hole of the bagel, owner Adam Spencer placed a shot of Bulleit Bourbon, the perfect addition to any burger, he said.

"Yeah it's going to be cool. We've had plenty of traction on Facebook and so it's exciting," Spencer told The Daily Mail. "It's a really traditional American cheese burger – it's a great mix of salty and sweet."

What's the best part of having a shot of whiskey smack-dab in the middle of your bagel burger? It comes with a few rashers of bourbon-glazed bacon specifically designed for dipping into whiskey; We call that a win-win. Once you get past the shot glass in the middle, this crazy creation is actually a "typical American-style cheeseburger," Spencer said. It's  topped with melted American cheese, more bourbon-glazed bacon, pickles, a jalapeño, and bourbon barbecue sauce.

If you find yourself Down Under, you can order your very own "Tipsy Cow" (as we've dubbed the sandwich) for about $16 AUD or $22 USD.
