James Beard Award-Winners Join 'America Cooks With Chefs'

Six James Beard Award-winning chefs from all over the country have been selected to participate in America Cooks with Chefs, a nationwide wellness movement and seven-episode video series on Ora.TV that will pair six contestants with six of America's most talented chefs.

The participating chefs will be: Michelle Bernstein (Michy's, Crumb on Parchment); Tony Mantuano (Spiaggia, Bar Toma); Naomi Pomeroy (Beast restaurant); Jimmy Schmidt (Morgan's in the Desert); Mary Sue Milliken (Border Grill Restaurants and Truck); and Maria Hines (Tilth, Golden Beetle, Agrodolce).

The six contestants will attend "Kitchen Camps," in which the chefs will teach them how to make their favorite foods healthier and more nutritious, and then contestants will compete in a living cooking challenge at the Clinton Health Matters Initiative Conference in January 2015.

The initiative is an effort between Palisades Media Ventures, the Clinton Foundation, the James Beard Foundation, and Good Housekeeping and is sponsored by Deloitte, Weight Watchers, Barilla, and Mayo Clinic.

America Cooks with Chefs will run on Ora.TV from December 2014 through February 2015.
