Pizza Hut Hot Dog Bites Pizza Available This June
Hot dogs, get your hot dogs — but only while supplies last.
We previously reported that Pizza Hut would be releasing a hot dog stuffed crust pizza, which has now been confirmed for June 18, according to Restaurant News and Pizza Hut's Twitter account.
Customers can order a large, one-topping "Hot Dog Bites Pizza" for $11.99, which comes just in time for National Hot Dog Month in July. Jared Drinkwater, vice president of marketing at Pizza Hut, says that Americans ate about 150 million hot dogs over last year's Fourth of July weekend.
"We are committed to bringing more flavor and fun to the pizza category than anyone else, and our new Hot Dog Bites Pizza is an absolutely epic flavor mash-up inspired by two of America's favorite foods," Drinkwater says.
Pizza Hut is not new to the unusual crust game, previously releasing a Lay's potato chip-stuffed crust.
The Hot Dog Bites are available in a traditional or salted pretzel flavor with a free side of French's mustard. In total, there will be 28 Hot Dog Bites making up the crust. The pizza will be available for dine-in, carry-out, or delivery.
This pizza has been available in Australia, Thailand, and the United Kingdom, so it's only fitting that it has finally made its way to the United States. There is no exact end date for the sale of this menu item, but it will be around for a limited time only, so we recommend ordering it over the summer.
