New York City Won't Be Getting A Margaritaville Anytime Soon

Jimmy Buffett fans in New York City will have to wait because the anticipated Margaritaville restaurant deal has fallen through.

The restaurant deal had been in the works for the past year, and the lease was "all but signed," according to the New York Post.

The location for the eatery was supposed to be in the Brill Building in Times Square. The deal collapsed when the entire second floor of the prospective multi-level restaurant was signed to CVS Pharmacy.

According to the Post, the restaurant wanted to use the second floor, as well as part of the ground floor and rooftop.

"What happened is strange," a source told the Post. "They're still pitching Buffett on a Margaritaville deal somewhere in the building."
