Carl's Jr. Is Testing Out Pizza Fries Loaded With Pepperoni And Mozzarella

We've been trying to eat healthy lately, really. Kale salads for lunch, lean proteins for dinner, and absolutely no dessert. But Carl's Jr. had to go and ruin it all, because there's no way we're not going to try their brand-new pizza fries. Pizza fries are exactly what they sound like — a seductive, unholy combination of pepperoni pizza and French fries — and are now being tested in Southern California Carl's Jr. locations. Here's what goes into one of these bad boys: fries (natural cut with the skin on), pepperoni, pizza sauce, and mozzarella cheese.

"It may look like a mess, but it's messy good," says Brad Haley, chief marketing officer at Carl's Jr. "Customers have compared the taste to pizza with a French fry crust."

The pizza fries will cost $2.39. Carl's Jr. has also released gravy fries, chili cheese fries, bacon Cheddar fries, and bacon ranch fries, so they're pretty familiar with this sort of thing.
