Step Aside, PSL: Starbucks Has A New Festive Fall Drink

For the first time in four years, Starbucks is releasing a new fall beverage — the toasted graham latte.

The new latte is available in stores now that fall is officially here. It is an espresso drink with steamed milk, flavored with the essence of graham cracker, sweet cream, and cinnamon graham cracker crumbles.

"I thought about the back-to-school season and looked at the latest food and beverage trends," Yoke Wong, research and development manager at Starbucks, said in a statement. "What I found to be quite popular in the U.S. is the taste of cereal milk, the delicious leftovers in your breakfast bowl."

Starbucks is also featuring autumn-inspired designs on the cups with leaves, berries, pumpkins, and pine cones.

"While there are many customers who want to hold onto summer, there are others who can't wait for it to end," Jimmy Balch, senior designer for store promotions at Starbucks, said in a statement, "We wanted to give those who celebrate fall something special."

Starbucks announced last month that their fall-exclusive pumpkin spice latte will now contain real pumpkin. It's nice to see that they are not just focusing on pumpkin spice flavors this fall.
