Celestial Seasonings Creates Bottled Tea Lattes, Adds More Chai Flavors

Celestial Seasonings is introducing a line of bottled teas called Celestial Lattes and a range of flavored chai teas this summer, according to a press release.

The lattes come in ready-to-drink bottles as well as concentrated in cartons, which allows the consumer to customize his or her drink with dairy or non-dairy milks. Flavors include dirty chai, which is chai with a shot of espresso; The Godfather, a masala chai with espresso and cocoa; mountain chai with ginger, cardamom, and cloves; and matcha chai, made with matcha green tea powder.

Celestial Lattes are inspired by the kinds of drinks you might find in your trendy neighborhood coffee shop. Tom Arcuri, vice president of sales and marketing at Celestial Seasonings, said in a statement that "Consumer demand is growing for coffeehouse-style beverages that provide the benefits of tea without sacrificing exciting new flavors."

Celestial Seasonings' new chai teas, which come in the standard tea satchel, are available in dirty chai, coconut Thai chai, mountain chai, and decaf mountain chai varieties.
