Dominique Ansel Giving Away Nutella Cronut Holes On May 19
It's the dessert collaboration of your dreams: Cronut creator and James Beard Award-winning pastry chef Dominique Ansel will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Nutella with the creation of a special Nutella Cronut hole, combining the beloved hazelnut spread with the hybrid doughnut-croissant pastry that propelled Ansel to fame.
For one day only, on May 19th, Nutella lovers in New York City will be able to sample the Nutella Cronut hole at a special pop-up event at Broadway Pedestrian Plaza Plaza (between 23rd and 24th Streets, adjacent to Madison Square Park). And yes, that is very close to Eataly's Nutella store.
The Iimited edition Cronuts will be available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., while supplies last. If we've learned anything about the Cronut king, it's that his desserts draw a crowd, so prepare accordingly.
The pop-up party will feature Nutella sampling stations, a Nutella food truck, interactive games and photo opportunities, and live music. The party will also serve as the official launch of the Nutella "Spread the Happy" Truck Tour, which will travel to 16 cities across the U.S. in 2014.
