USDA-Certified Organic Meal Kit Delivery Service Launches Vegan Menu

Green Chef, the first USDA-certified organic meal kit delivery service, is now launching a completely plant-based, vegan menu option, which will be available to ship to its customers nationwide beginning the week of June 6. The new vegan menu joins the company's existing lineup of Paleo, gluten-free, vegetarian, omnivore, and carnivore meal kits, according to a release.

"Americans are increasingly interested in trying or maintaining a vegan diet, but it can be daunting," said Michael Joseph, CEO and co-founder of Green Chef. "Green Chef makes it easy. Our vegan menus ship with all the ingredients a home cook needs to prepare hot vegan meals with sophisticated flavor profiles, as well as step-by-step recipes that help even novice chefs make restaurant-quality vegan meals with ease."

To create the menu, vegan chef and lifestyle expert Alan Roettinger worked with the company's executive chef Dana Murrell to create meals that are "bursting with flavor, quick and easy to prepare, and full of real, wholesome ingredients," as per Green Chef's culinary philosophy. Meals can be prepared, on average, in about 30 minutes.

Green Chef's vegan menu is priced at $13.49 per serving, the same cost as the carnivore and gluten-free menus. The vegetarian menu costs $10.49 per meal, the omnivore $11.99, and the Paleo option costs $14.99 per meal.
