Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens Expands
After a year of renovations, Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens in Costa Rica, has reopened. Located in the Arenal region, the 50-suite property has added two new restaurants, 25 new casitas (bungalows), and a new spa.
The new restaurants are Sushi Amor, which serves sushi with a Latin flair, and Nostalgia, a wine and tapas bar. Sushi Amor has a specially-designed vodka-dispensing machine where guests can sip and taste a selection of flavored vodka brands. Nostalgia features an open-air terrace where guests can sample the best of Latin American and Spanish wines using a wine-dispensing system.
Sushi Amor and Nostalgia join Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens's other food and beverage outlets, Altamira Restaurant, the resort's all-day-dining option that features Costa Rican and international cuisine along with views of the Arenal Volcano and a telescope to see it, and Kali-Kali,a poolside bar offering seats in the pool and in the shade.
Arenal is most known for its volcano, the third most active in the world, lush rainforest, volcano treks, zip-lining tours, Rio Celeste hiking, La Fortuna waterfall, and whitewater rafting on the Sarapiquí River.
The alfresco spa includes four treatment rooms, two of which are open-air massage bungalows, meditation trails, a fitness room, and a custom-made wooden Jacuzzi overlooking a small creek. Treatments employ local ingredients like coffee, aloe vera, and volcanic mud.
Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens has renovated the remainder of its rooms and public areas. Rates start at $230.
