Nancy Silverton, whose La Brea Bakery changed the game for artisanal bread in America, teams up here with New York-based Italian-food moguls Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich in this lively urban restaurant, complete with a mozzarella bar, unusual pasta (calf’s brain ravioli, spaghetti with marinated white anchovies), and main dishes ranging from grilled quail wrapped in pancetta to duck al mattone.

Don't miss the bufala mozzarella draped with spectacular anchovy with Meyer lemon and an herb salad. Nancy Silverton makes a great a caprese with bufala, cherry tomatoes and basil.

Start with the mozzarella bar. Try the Burrata with Bacon and Stracchino. Smoked perfection.

Prepare for your Roman Feast! Youll need to confess to the Pope himself after the sinful delights of this restaurant.

Despite more refined food than its pizzeria sister-restaurant, this venue is more boisterous -loud guests & louder music- classic Mario Batali. Try the mozzarella tasting plate at the mozzarella bar!

One of LA's best Italians. Try Mozarrella sampler to start, a stuffed pasta for primi and outstanding beef tagliotti for segundi. If you only order a primi, beware that portions are small. Good wines.

The dining room is dark woods, rich leathers and ornate detailing. The Mozzarella Bar buzzes with a younger foodie crowd who is happy to skip the sceney dining room for stool-top access to divine eats

Mozza is like dining in the wine cavern of an old Italian villa. The food and the staff are on par with any highly rated Zagat resto. Their Italian wine list is superb - order a bottle.
