Lineup Announced For 2013 New York City Wine & Food Festival
Every year, the New York City Wine & Food Festival descends upon the city, and brings with it some of the biggest names in the culinary landscape. Each year it seems to get bigger and bigger, and this year is no exception. The official lineup for the festival, this year held Oct. 17 to 20, has been announced, and it looks spectacular.
The world-class roster of events includes intimate dinners, seminars, trade shows, culinary demonstrations, late-night parties, and brunches. There are plenty of returning favorites this year, including the famed Burger Bash and the grand tasting, but this year there are plenty of new dinners planned, as well as a slew of new venues, including Piers 92 and 94 on the West Side. The biggest events will be held on those piers, including Rachael Ray's Burger Bash, Bobby Flay's Tacos and Tequila, Mario Batali's Ultimate Tailgate, and Anne Burrell and Adam Richman's Sunday Slices.
Some of the country's most well-known chefs will also be hosting dinners over the weekend. Daniel Humm and Will Guidara, Bill Telepan, David Bouley, Sean Brock and George Mendes, Giada De Laurentiis, Rick Bayless, Alex Atala, Michael White, Tyler Florence, and Ivan Orkin will all be on hand to cook for and host dinners that are sure to be the hottest tickets in town. Master classes will also be taught by Martha Stewart (cake-making), Jim Lahey (pizza-making), and Masaharu Morimoto (sushi-rolling). Click here for the full line-up.
Prices range from $20 for entry into panel discussions to $400 to attend the David Bouley dinner. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Food Bank for New York City and Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign. Tickets go on sale for MasterCard members June 10, and for the general public on June 24. These events sell out fast, so start planning now!
