IHOP Opens In The Middle East
IHOP has opened its first restaurant in the Middle East adjacent to the world's biggest manmade indoor ski slope at The Mall of the Emirates, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The 225-seat restaurant serves many of the same traditional breakfast favorites as its U.S. locations, including pancake, egg, and meat combination plates, omelets and signature pancakes. Adapting to the local market, all meats at IHOP in Dubai feature Halal-certified turkey hams, veal sausages and beef bacon.
The opening marks the first of a 40-restaurant development agreement that will eventually include IHOP restaurants in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Egypt. IHOP also has restaurants in Canada, Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
