Hurtigruten's Norway Coastal Voyages Gives You Optimal Viewing Of The Northern Lights
Covering ground, sea and air, Hurtigruten has released a collection of travel packages called Norway Coastal Voyages that will set guests up above the Arctic Circle to see the Northern Lights. These nine- and 10-day itineraries include six- or seven-day voyages through Norway, roundtrip flights from Newark (with additional cities available at an additional cost), all transfers before and after the cruise, and two one-night hotel stays.
The voyages take place between Bergen and Kirkenes, with the 10-day trip starting in Bergen and the nine-day starting in Kirkenes. While their starting and final destinations use the same cities as well as a few shared stops, each package includes a few exclusive locales. The itinerary for the 10-day trip takes guests to wonderful Norwegian destinations like Alesund and Honningsvag. On the other hand, the nine-day voyage heads through Hammerfest and Vesteralen to take in some of Norway's most magnificent natural scenery.
Both cruises take travelers to popular locations such as Tromso (referred to as the "Paris of the North), the Lofoten Islands where rugged beauty is perfectly complemented by charming fishing villages, and North Cape, which is around 1,242 miles from the North Pole. The itineraries also include passages into the Arctic Circle where guests can participate in an Arctic Circle baptism (it's not what you think).
With a recent surge in innovation and one of the most interesting cultures in Europe, there hasn't been a better time to visit Norway. These Hurtigruten packages are an optimal way to experience much of the country in one vacation as possible. Norway Coastal Voyages are available now and will be offered until December 29, 2014. They range from $2,251 to $2,788 per person for double occupancy.
