Make Easter Nests For The Big Easter Basket
Easter Sunday is all about the Easter basket for kids. Loaded with toys and treats, you're probably a tad sad you don't still receive one. Delight them this year with an extra Easter nests that they can eat. These Easter nests are made with a cookie crumb crust and a fun green filling.
What You'll Need:
- 1 package store-bought cookies, preferably Chips Ahoy! Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- One 8-ounce package green icing, such as Wilton icing
- Jelly beans
- 1 muffin pan
Step One: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step Two: In a food processor, pulse the store-bought cookies until they are fine crumbs.
Step Three: Melt butter.
Step Four: In a bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, and cookie crumbs until wet and combined.
Step Five: Coat the mini muffin pan with cooking spray and press the mixture into each pan divet. Be sure that the crumbs climb up the sides and from a basket-like shape.
Step Six: Bake until the crust is firm; roughly five minutes. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool completely.
Step Seven: Once cooled, fill the center with the green icing.
Step Eight: Place three jelly beans in the center of the icing and serve immediately.
