Healthiest Breakfast Recipes
Want to lose weight? Perhaps it's time to start eating breakfast. But not just any breakfast will do, according to Kathleen M. Zelman, MPH, R.D., L.D., the director of nutrition for WebMD. Ideally, a complete and balanced breakfast "should contain a variety of foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low- or nonfat dairy, and lean protein."

That's why The Daily Meal has rounded up seven healthy breakfast recipes to help achieve this balance. All of the recipes have less than 300 calories and 10 grams of fat per serving, and are good sources of protein and dietary fiber, two key components that can help keep you satiated throughout the morning.
Some people may be surprised to see the inclusion of a few egg dishes in this roundup. However, according to Zelman, eggs "contain some of the highest-quality protein," and a small amount of protein can help keep hunger pangs at bay until lunchtime. And while some people may worry about the cholesterol, people in good health don't need to worry if they limit themselves to one egg a day, says the American Heart Association.
So give these recipes a shot, because eating a healthy breakfast can help you control your appetite, lose weight, and help you feel energized and focused.
