Grahamwich Closes After Lollapalooza
Lollapalooza wasn't just the Postal Service's last performance ever (cue the teenage angsty tears), but also Graham Elliot's last days at Grahamwich.
The Chicago Tribune reports that Elliot closed his high-end sandwich shop yesterday, with sandwiches like "twice-cooked turkey with stewed cranberries, candied yams, and sage mayo." "We played our last set this past weekend at Lollapalooza," Elliot told the Tribune.
Of course, Elliot has plenty on his plate including the upcoming MasterChef Junior as well as his latest bistro Graham Elliot Bistro, not to mention his namesake Graham Elliot. And there's a possibility that Elliot might revive the sandwich shop concept. "We'd like to give a huge shout-out to all our fans for their loyalty and support, and look forward to getting the band back together sometime in the future," he said.
We've reached out to Elliot's team for a response, but we can only hope this closing means Elliot will be focusing on other markets, notably the Los Angeles project he mentioned to The Daily Meal at last year's Lollapalooza.
Update: A representative tells us that "Graham is unavailable for comment on Grahamwich at this time." Similarly, no news on any project in the Los Angeles market.
