Get On The Kate Gosselin Caribbean Cruise

An R. Kelly cruise we can understand, because hey, you get a concert out of it. But this Kate Gosselin cruise has us scratching our heads.

The cruise, which departs from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and travels to Haiti, Jamaica, and Mexico, sails Aug. 12 to 19, with the mother of eight on board herself.

Some special events touted on the web site include a photo opportunity with Gosselin, a private BBQ, a morning brunch, "fun fun family games," a Q&A session, a book signing, a craft lesson ("Doesn't Kate always have the best ideas!"), and obviously a shore excursion, all with the Kate Plus 8 star.

Cabins run from $1,900 to $3,175 for double occupancy.

If you're into a more culinary, butter-filled adventure, the same travel company also offers a cruise with Paula Deen. There aren't as many schmoozing opportunities with the chef, and prices run just a tad higher ($1,578 to $5,178 for double occupancy), but at least you'll be less ashamed to brag about your trip afterwards. Plus, you get a cooking demo out of it.
