Gene Simmons Helps You Celebrate Father's Day With Beer
If your dad thinks he's a master on Guitar Hero, has ever sported black and white face paint, or just likes to kick back with a beer and listen to some good old rock n' roll, Gene Simmons wants to help you rock out – and drink – with your dad. The KISS front man will be hosting the second annual craft beer festival on Father's Day at his Los Angeles restaurant, Rock & Brews, in honor of your rock star dad.
For $50, you can purchase a ticket that includes eight 4-ounce beers from local breweries, such as The Bruery, El Segundo Brewing, Bootlegger's Brewery, and more. (A souvenir, take-home beer glass just sweetens the deal). There will also be a buffet of the restaurant's best dishes, like the special gluten-free pizza and famous pulled-pork sandwich A portion of the proceeds will benefit City Year Los Angeles, a nonprofit that aims to keep kids in local public schools and on-track to graduate.
Now if only Gene Simmons would play some live music, and then this festival would be nearly perfect. Just don't ask him to recommend his favorite beer — this hard-partying rockstar ironically doesn't drink.
