Chef Cardoz will be "transitioning away" from the restaurant in order to pursue personal culinary projects "that focus back to his roots of cooking with Indian flavors, explore projects in India, and work on his forthcoming cookbook," to be published by Artisan in 2015.
Chef Cardoz first joined the Union Square Hospitality Group as executive chef of Danny Meyer's Tabla, which closed in 2010.
Most recently, Floyd Cardoz served as the executive chef of the acclaimed North End Grill, which opened in January 2012.
"Over his tenure at North End Grill, Floyd has built a tremendously talented team who will ensure that the restaurant maintains an outstanding level of excellence and hospitality as USHG begins the search for a new executive chef," announced USHG.
