The Ultimate Chocolate Brunch Menu

Craft chocolate is all the rage, and we absolutely love all the beautifully wrapped, handmade chocolates that have forged their own well-deserved place in the candy world. Earlier this year, Los Angeles-based chocolatier Compartés — which is famous not only for its amazing chocolate bars but also for being the chocolate of choice for Hollywood-based celebrities such as Cate Blanchett and Mariah Carey — launched a Donuts & Coffee Milk Chocolate Bar. This milk chocolate bar is filled with coffee grounds from the best local coffee shops and crumbled doughnuts from the most popular local doughnut shops, and it comes together to make what is essentially our dream breakfast in a bar. This obviously got our minds racing about how we could incorporate more chocolate into our breakfasts (besides eating a square of this bar with our coffee every day), and so we teamed up with Jonathan Grahm, the founder of Compartés, to create our dream chocolate-centric brunch menu.

Here's how it goes:

Chocolate Cherry Granola

Add some chocolate chunks to your granola for a sweeter take on this crunchy brunch essential.

Chocolate Coconut Zucchini Bread

Chocolate and zucchini is a beautiful match: In this bread, they are blended with coconut for a moist and nutty sweet treat, which is best served warm, fresh out the oven.

Double Chocolate Chunk Waffles

Waffles are one of the easiest and most popular brunch dishes, and one of the only ways to improve upon the classic is to add a significant amount of chocolate.

Fluffy Chocolate Banana Pancakes

We love combining bananas and chocolate as much as possible, so these fluffy pancakes filled with chocolate and fruit, served with maple syrup and maybe even whipped cream, are a totally indulgent, fabulous brunch dish.

Frozen Grape and Banana Skewers With Chocolate Drizzle

This is going to be a wonderfully rich brunch, so make sure you include some fruit. However, we can't resist adding a sprinkling of melted white chocolate to these fruit skewers.

Mini Chocolate Chip Cookie Doughnuts

To celebrate the launch of Compartés Donuts & Coffee Milk Chocolate Bar, we obviously have to include some chocolate chip doughnuts in this brunch menu.

Mocha Morning Buzz Smoothie

You'll need to provide some caffeine — this is brunch, after all — and there is perhaps no better way to drink your morning wake-up buzz than in this healthy mocha smoothie.

Orange Blossom Chocolate Scones

These delicate, lightly floral, satisfyingly chocolatey scones come together incredibly quickly and easily, just as the best baked brunch treats should!
