Disney World For Food Lovers Slideshow
Featuring a full-scale restaurant with two sushi bars, dining shares the spotlight with 30 high-tech bowling lanes at Splitsville Luxury Lanes, located at Downtown Disney West Side. The rolls are fresh, full of flavor, and will allow you to take a break from what you would traditionally eat at a bowling lane. Seen here: Super Tuna Roll.
Cupcakes at Be Our Guest
The newest restaurant at Magic Kingdom is beautiful and worth the wait for lunch if you haven't been able to snag a dinner reservation. When we visited in February, there were no dinner openings until May. Everything we tried at lunch (French Onion soup and Tuna Nicoise salad) was delicious, but the true piece de resistance was the chocolate cupcake. It was perfect. Those who tried the strawberry one said the same and my friend Carolyn said the lemon one was heavenly. So, get a cupcake. It is worth every single calorie. Unless you have all three. French-inspired cuisine three years in development will be highlighted when Be Our Guest Restaurant opens in the New Fantasyland. The stylish restaurant will be available for quick-service lunch and table-service dinner. In keeping with those elegantly-themed dinners, select wines and beers will be included on menus.
Cobb Salad at The Hollywood Brown Derby
You might have had Cobb salads before, but trust me, the Hollywood Brown Derby is sinful. It has finely chopped greens, turkey breast, egg, bacon, tomatoes, crumbled blue cheese, avocado, chives, and Cobb dressing. You can order a full-size portion or a smaller appetizer one.
Meats and Cheese Platter, Tutto Gusto
Located in the Italy pavilion in Epcot, Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar is a more intimate space adjacent to Tutto Italia Ristorante. Artisanal Italian cheeses are offered, with everything from soft, creamy La Tur to salty-sweet aged Parmigiano-Reggiano. Fresh hand-crafted mozzarella is made in bufala and fior di latte styles. Also featured are cured, sliced meats, including prosciutto di Parma, mortadella, sopressata and more. Inspired by an atmospheric Italian wine bar, Tutto Gusto features a small-plate menu.
Crème Brûlée at the Hollywood Brown Derby
This creamy dessert with its crunchy caramelized sugar is one of my favorites. It is served with a chocolate-covered biscotti that is a treat in itself. This crème brûlée is big enough to share. Or not.
