Hungry? Why wait? Yep, those ingredients combine to form the beloved Snickers bar. Original Skittles were born in 1979, featuring orange, lemon, lime, grape, and strawberry bites. Kit Kat
Gimme a Break. Made up of Light, crispy wafers covered in milk chocolate, the popular candy was originally dubbed "Rowntrees Chocolate Crisp," at its 1935 launch in London. Two years later, the name changed to Kit Kat Chocolate Crisp, then to Kit Kat after World War II. Although there is no official confirmation of this, the name is thought to be inspired by the famous Kit Kat Club of the 1920s.

3 Musketeers
Introduced in 1932, Mars, Inc. has dubbed this treat "A lighter way to enjoy chocolate." The name comes from the original composition of the candy bar, which was vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. The bar is now comprised of chocolate-flavored nougat covered in milk chocolate. To make the bars, large slabs of nougat are cut to size, then covered in chocolate in a process called "enrobing."

The juicy contradiction. Created in the U.K. in 1960, these little squares of fruity flavor were originally called Opal Fruits. After they immigrated to the U.S. in 1967, they Americanized their name to Starburst. By 1998, the name Opal Fruits was phased out. Unique additions to this line of sweetness include Starburst Candy Canes, which appeared in 1995; Starburst Sour Fruit Chews, born in 2002; and Starburst Flavor Morph, a 2012 creation in which flavors change while you chew them.

Hershey's Kiss
In 1907, Hershey introduced the kiss. The flat-bottomed chocolates were individually wrapped until 1921, when a machine took over the process and included the signature plume to indicate that it was genuine. The plume was later trademarked in 1924. Fun fact: Some of the streetlights in Hershey, Pa., are shaped like Kisses!

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Created in 1928 by H.B. Invented by Sean le Noble in 1926, these favorites of movie-goers were intended to be perfectly round. When it was clear this was impossible, the name "duds" came into play. The first part of the name refers to the large quantity of milk used in their creation.

The twist you cant resist. Got time to kill? Great, because it takes 15 hours to make Twizzlers. In 1998, the candy made history: Y&S Candy Plant, located in Lancaster, Pa., created the longest licorice ever 1,200 feet and 100 pounds. Bet that made a few mouths happy. Other versions of these sweet whips include Twizzlers Pull n Peel (1994) and Twizzlers Rainbow (2006).
