Pregame With Guy Fieri At The Michigan Vs Michigan State Game This Saturday
On Saturday, October 17, Food Network star Guy Fieri will be hosting a Miller Lite Pre-Game Cook-Off before the University of Michigan plays Michigan State University.
Saturday will mark the 108th time that the two college football rivals will face off and compete for the Paul Bunyan Trophy, first introduced in 1953 to commemorate Michigan State's entry into the Big Ten Conference.
Fieri's cook-off, which begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday on Ann Arbor-Saline Road across from the Oak Valley Centre in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is expected to draw big crowds as ESPN's College GameDay broadcasts the game to a national audience.
On Twitter, Fieri's followers responded to the news with offers to take part in real cook-offs, including an invitation to battle Christopher "Chris with a Twist" Ekpiken, a finalist on Rachael Ray's Kids Cook Off on Food Network, and an Ann Arbor local.
@GuyFieri @MillerLite Hey did you know that food network kid's cook off finalist @ChriswithaTwis1 lives in Ann Arbor, how about a cook off?

Two more fans with a University of Michigan flag even made their own "Welcome to Flavourtown" banner in Fieri's honor, though they chose not to abide by Guy's preferred spelling of "Flavortown."
