OysterFest Takes Over San Francisco

If you're an avid oyster enthusiast, you don't want to miss out on this year's OysterFest.

Waterbar celebrates sustainable oysters by welcoming the 8th annual OysterFest on Sunday, August 28 from 12p.m.-3 p.m. The OysterFest will feature scrumptious small bites from an array of oyster-fanatical restaurants from Leo's Oyster Bar, Sam's Chowder House, EPIC Steak, Farallon, Atwater Tavern, Fish, and of course Waterbar itself. Can it get any better than this? Yes, yes it can.

Guest will also have a wide selection of micro-brews from Trumer Pils, Fort Point, and Anchor Steam offered along with Napa Valley wines to pair with those tasty little morsels. Additionally, this outdoor soiree benefits the San Francisco Surfrider Foundation. Devour oysters, sip on wine, and give back to charity all at once? I'm there.

The festivities will be held on Waterbar's bayside patio alongside its breathtaking views of the city skyline, Treasure Island, and the Bay Bridge. There will also be live music and entertainment provided by local San Francisco band Lovefool. Eat, drink, dance, be merry ― and also win fun prizes for oyster shucking and best hot sauce!

Fun Fact: Waterbar has not only the largest but the most eclectic selections of oysters in San Francisco and last year more than 5,000 oysters were served during OysterFest 2015.

The San Francisco Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and recreation of the world's beaches and oceans. Proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to this foundation. in fact, OysterFest raised over $14,000 for the organization last year.
