Where To Drink And Dine In NYC: Memorial Day Weekend 2016

Atwood Kitchen + Bar
For classic American fare and local craft beers and hand-crafted cocktails, head to Atwood Kitchen + Bar in Midtown. Stay pumped for America this summer with specials that begin on Memorial Day and continue throughout 4th of July. Specials include a boneless bbq pork spare rib with xo bourbon bbq, which comes with house baked beans, cooked in Atwood's pork jus, peppers, onions, and scallions, served with chile corn bread waffles; and the freedom waffle sandwich, the most spirited way to start any day! This all American creation is a red, white, and blue bacon, egg, and cheese waffle sandwich.

Añejo
In the mood for more of a party setting this Memorial Day weekend? Then Añejo in the Tribeca area is your best bet. With large tables, outdoor seating where you can lay back and soak up the sun, a Mexican inspired menu, and plenty of tequilas, mezcals, and Mexican distillations, you better be ready to get your fiesta on.

The Daisy
This Upper East Side agave-themed gastropub will be offering a bottomless brunch on Memorial Day from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Enjoy all the bottomless margaritas, mimosas, bloody Marys, and red and white wine you can drink.

Michelin-starred NYC restaurant Dovetail will be open the holiday weekend offering top-notch, upscale vegetarian cuisine. On Monday, Dovetail will feature its special vegetarian and vegetable focused four-course prix fixe for $58. Menu items include Dovetail favorites like baby beets with cured salmon and rose water cream, and butter poached king trumpet mushrooms with polenta, spinach, and green strawberries and more.

Find yourself in the West Village? Then check out Dante for a relaxing, casual Italian meal. With outdoor seating and plenty of of dishes and cocktails to choose from, dining here this holiday weekend will be a nice break from the stresses of the city. Drinks like Apertivo #1 with milagro blanco, aperol, lillet blanc, passionfruit, mango, and prosecco, will keep you going all day (and night) long.

NIX
While 'merica does love it's BBQ and steaks, vegetarian eateries should not be overlooked. NIX, a recently opened seasonal vegetarian restaurant near Union Square, prides itself on inventive vegetarian fare.
