The Brunch Game Is Strong At Miami's Beaker And Gray
Brunch is that perfect time between breakfast and lunch when you are able to enjoy the benefits of breakfast food around lunchtime while sipping bottomless mimosas. Beaker and Gray offers an outstanding brunch in the heart of Wynwood on Saturdays and Sundays.
I am a sucker for any dish served with an egg on top, so I selected the Cheeseburger Hash. Served in a cast-iron skillet and accompanied by bacon, aji armarillo, banana pepper, and, of course, a fried egg on top, the dish's flavors were perfectly complementary. This savory dish will have me coming back for more again and again. Another favorite was the Omelet Dumplings, which are pretty much exactly what you are imagining: bite-size omelettes, perfect for sharing. The dish caught my eye as soon as I opened my menu, and it did not disappoint. The eggs were extra fluffy and with chorizo, cilantro, and a spicy rocoto paired effortlessly inside.
In addition to savory bites, Beaker and Gray also offers sweet ones such as Sticky Buns, Pecan Pie Milkshakes, and Sourdough French Toast. My brunch preference is distinctly savory, so my eye kept wandering to the Nova Lox, served with horseradish, ikura, and sourdough, but that will have to wait until next time.
Last, but certainly not least, Beaker and Gray offers bottomless mimosas for $25 per person on Saturday and Sunday.
