KLINK Signature Wine Event Makes Splash In Ocean City
It's time to take another look at Atlantic City, N.J. As it reestablishes itself as a premier casino, dinging, and leisure destination, it has offered attractive events such its recent KLINK! wine tasting affair. Hosted by the fun-filled Resorts Casino Hotel, the inaugural signature vino event was a huge draw for foodies and wine enthusiasts from the metropolitan region. Guests had the tremendous opportunity to sample over 40 global wines thoughtfully paired with savory tapas and decadent desserts. Various wineries such as Barefoot Cellars and Far Niente were among the boutique vintners for the lavish affair. The occasion also served to reintroduce Resorts to locals as well as gourmands and wine experts alike.
Headlining host Iron chef Jose Garces, took the stage at the tasting experience. He performed a live demonstration of three mouth-watering dishes derived from his beloved Ecuadorian background. Featured dishes include pandebono, or pan de bono, a baked gluten free bread made from yucca flour stuffed with manchego and queso fresco cheeses, an aromatic chicken and rice stew, juanito de pollo, and a refreshing lobster salad ideal for spring and summer. All are featured in his latest cookbook, The Latin Road Home.
Chef has a cherished connection with Atlantic City as he is counted among many notable chefs with past high-end eateries in the seaside resort area. We're excited to echo his announcement that he plans to return to the area by the end of the year and has big plans to reclaim his dining presence. Currently, he is finalizing plans of his latest project, Amada, his highly anticipated tapas dine, set to open April 25, 2016 in New York City's Brookfield Place.
