What's Up: Fresh on the scene since February 2014, this hotel's 54th floor watering hole is now Manhattan's highest rooftop bar. The outdoor terrace has awesome river sights and views of the Chrysler Building and One World Trade Center.

Top Sips: 20 signature cocktails grace the menu, plus punch bowls serving three to four guests. The Brooklyn-made Dorothy Parker American Gin, was created especially for the bar.

Top Sips: The vodka and gin-laced Suit and Tie, Chicago martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives, and Moscow Mules served in a classic copper mug are faves.

What's Up: This open-air rooftop bar in the heart of Vancouver has a laid-back vibe with a fire pit, private cabanas, and oversized teak couches. If it's chilly, heaters and warm blankets are given to patrons.

Top Sips: In addition to beers, wines, and hard ciders, cocktails are mixed using locally sourced ingredients. Bartenders keep busy serving the Hotel Georgia, named 2012 "Cocktail of the Year" by enRoute Magazine.
