Domino's Logo Dropping Pizza From Name
Stoned college kids may be slightly confused with their next Domino's pizza box, as the company is dropping "Pizza" in the next rendition of its name, AdAge reports.
In an effort to make their brand more accesible, the Domino's stores are attempting to become "a place that people feel comfortable in," chief marketing officer Russell Weiner said. Some locations may even have in-store dining, or features including "open kitchens where customers can see the pizzas being made, big-screen TVs, kiosks where customers can place their orders, comfortable seating, a counter for grab-and-go items such as salads, and chalkboards where customers can leave suggestions."
In the meantime, the logo redesign (the company's first in 15 years) will now just say "Domino's." "So much of our menu is beyond pizza right now that we feel like we're more than just a pizza place," Weiner said. We wonder if they'll be offering cinnamon rolls, next. Wait, there are cinnamon sticks for that.
