The Daily Mail Looks Inside McDonald's Hamburger University
We should probably never doubt McDonald's managers and supervisors ever again, because they've all graduated from Mickey D's own Hamburger University. Seriously.
The Daily Mail brings us this very important article giving us a sneak peek inside the universities, which they have around the world, including locations in Illinois and Shanghai. "Every McDonald's manager is required to go through the training," they report. During the training, students study restaurant operations, service, quality, and cleanliness.
More than 5,000 students are reportedly in the programs, where they will graduate with a degree in "Hamburgerology" and a diploma from the school "Universatis Hamurgerensis McDonald's." Their courses even count for college credit at other schools.
Watch a commercial for Hamburger University here, where one guy admits, "Initially, I didn't believe it." We don't quite believe it either, but we suppose it's like a fast-food version of culinary school — sans cooking, since the Daily Mail reports all the food is fake.
