Why Are People Putting Mushrooms In Their Lattes?
Are you the type of person that doesn't feel quite human until you have your first cup of morning coffee? Try adding an extra hint of health to your morning brew with mushrooms. Ganoderma coffee or mushroom coffee is a powdered drink that is typically made with instant coffee and medicinal mushrooms, known as "reishi" or "Lingzhi."

While there is no scientific evidence to back up claims that drinking ganoderma coffee can boost your immune system, aid in weight loss, improve memory, increase energy, lower cholesterol, and reduce inflammation, many of its supporters claim the ancient Chinese medicinal drink will kick fatigue — and it tastes good.
The flavor of this coffee drink is mellower and sweeter than your typical cup of joe. You can purchase a powdered mushroom coffee or make your own using a ratio of three parts coffee beans to one part dehydrated mushrooms. Then, grind your beans and brew your coffee as you normally would. Enjoy your morning dose of antioxidants with some warm frothed milk for an energizing latte drink that will help you start the day off right.
