Each week, we ask The Daily’s Meal Culinary Content Network of food bloggers to share their favorite recipes connected to a weekly theme — this practice is affectionately called “SWAT” (Sharing With A Theme), and October is all about Halloween.

Last week, our bloggers sent their favorite spooky eats and treats to make for Halloween that included both sweet and savory Halloween creations, but this week, it’s all about  cookie confections, concoctions, and creations.

Here are some highlights from this week’s submissions:

Itsy Bitsy Spider Cookies

The Kitchen Whisperer made these cookies that are so subtly perfect for Halloween. Spider-haters will take one look at your plate of cookies and have to think twice before reaching for one.

Healthy Pumpkin Cookies

These cookies from Vie De La Vegan use a ripe banana as the sole sweetener. Plus, wholemeal spelt flour and pumpkin purée are mixed into the batter for extra healthy goodness.

Pierced Tongue Halloween Black Macarons

Diary of a Mad Hausfrau made these black French macaron shells filled with vanilla-flavored red buttercream. She then whipped up some fresh marshmallow fondant to craft the Miley Cyrus-inspired pierced tongues.

Happy Halloweek!
