Burger King Rebuilds Its Menu With Turkey Burgers, Donut Holes, And More
This spring, Burger King will certainly be serving a lot more than just a Whopper and fries. The fast food chain has decided to redesign its menu, and they have definitely made it interesting.
To start, they have added two new, exciting beef burgers to their pretty basic burger selection: the Chipotle Whopper and the Bacon and Cheddar Stuffed Burger. The Chipotle Whopper is a regular ground beef burger topped with thick-cut bacon, pepper jack cheese, spicy chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and sweet caramelized onions on a sesame seed bun. The bacon cheddar stuffed burger is a bit more daring with hardwood smoked bacon and Cheddar cheese ground into the meat, with lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, mayo, and onion rings on top, all served on an 'artisan-style' bun.
Along with the Chipotle Whopper, Burger King has also decided to include the Chipotle Tendercrisp Chicken Sandwich, with "Tendercrisp" (a.k.a. fried) chicken, spicy chipotle mayo, sweet caramelized onions, thick-cut bacon, pepper jack cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce served on an artisan style bun. This sandwich can also be made into a wrap upon request.
For the rare breed of health conscious Burger King customers, the chain has released a new turkey burger and veggie burger. The turkey burger contains a moderately healthy 530 calories. It is a simple sandwich with the turkey patty topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and mayonnaise served on an artisan-style bun. The veggie burger is also simple with a veggie burger patty made with "real vegetables and wholesome grains" and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, ketchup, and mayonnaise on a sesame bun. It is the lighter option with only 410 calories.
And if you get tired of ordering your Whopper with a side of fries or onion rings, don't worry because now you can get "loaded" tater tots stuffed with bacon and sweet onions or some glazed donut holes.
Their drink menu is also fully equipped with a Piña Colada smoothie (sans the alcohol, obviously), peach flavored or unsweetened iced tea, and a selection of lattes (plain, vanilla, caramel, or mocha).
All of these items are being tested the menu for limited time only, and their future depends on their popularity. So, if you want a Chipotle Tendercrisp chicken sandwich and a piña colada with a side of glazed donut holes, you should probably head over to a Burger King near you.
