Best Los Angeles Restaurants For Mother's Day

Mother's Day is a celebration of family, friends, and of course glorious food. It's a day to take mom out of the kitchen and shower her with chocolates, flowers and homemade presents. Here is a round up of places to help celebrate with your mom this weekend.

Flemings Prime Steakhouse, Beverly Hills
Head to the 90210's newest steakhouse for a special three-course brunch. Hand-crafted cocktails include the 'Bellapolitan' and blood orange mimosa. Appetizers include a choice of lobster bisque, Caesar salad or seasonal fruits. Main course entrèes feature Fleming's signature prime rib, a filet benedict, baked brioche French toast, and Fleming's egg strata. Dessert items include white chocolate bread pudding, creme brulee and walnut turtle pie. $36.95, served 11:30 am to 3 pm.

Chaya Brasserie
Visit the original Chaya on Robertson Boulevard to treat mom to an elegant East meets West brunch filled with Franco-Japonaise items. Starters include sweet corn chowder, roasted beet salad, albacore tataki and wild arugula goat cheese salad. Entrée selections offer a variety of seafood and traditional lunch and breakfast items including a short rib and grilled cheese sandwich, smoked salmon benedict, blueberry pancakes and huevos rancheros. Desserts include chocolate croissant bread pudding, créme fraiche cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake. $39, 11 am to 3 pm.

Cecconi's
Trendy moms will love the celebrity sightings at WeHo's Cecconi's. Focusing on Italian cuisine, their Mother's Day brunch includes a roasted San Marzano benedict with poached eggs, fresh basil pesto on sourdough bread, and a strawberry rhubarb tart in addition to regular brunch items such as ricotta hotcakes, baked arrabiata eggs, porchetta ham benedict, and spaghetti lobster. Brunch à la carte, 9 am to 3 pm.

The Polo Lounge
Treat mom like the superstar she is with brunch at the historic Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel. The star-studded power dining spot is offering Rodeo Drive Salad, roasted filet mignon, local halibut, vichyssoise and ricotta cheese blinzes among other entrèes for brunch. A full dessert buffet will also be offered. $120, 11 am to 4 pm.

Morton's
Take a trip back in time to a classic steakhouse for Mother's Day at Morton's. First course offerings include lobster bisque, ahi tuna tower, Caesar salad, or jumbo shrimp Alexander. Main courses include a selection from filet mignon, glazed slamon, chicken bianco, pork chops and shrimp scampi capellini. Desserts include crème brûlée, double chocolate mousse and chocolate souffe. $59, 1 to 9 pm.

Mohawk Bend
In addition to 'MOMosas' and 'MOMartinis,' Echo Park's Mohawk Bend is offering house made pickled vegetables to give thier Bloody Marys extra zing for Mother's Day brunch. The retrofitted old Vaudeville theater is offering both vegan and non-vegan eggs benedict in addition to their regular brunch items. Post brunch, all moms will recieve a complimentary batch of cookies. Brunch à la carte, 11 am to 3 pm.

Bouchon
Chef Thomas Keller's classic French bistro Bouchon is celebrating moms with free Moet & Chandon Imperial Champagne and Moet Macarons. Their brunch includes Hawaiian big eye tuna tartare and dungeness crab crêpes as well as special beverages including lavender juleps, 20th century cocktails and a champagne bar featuring three different types of bellinis. Four those celebrating at home, the bakery is offering TKO hearts, chocolate and vanilla truffles, chocolate dipped strawberries and cassis and passion fruit macarons from May 9 to May 12. Brunch a la carte, 10 am to 3 pm.
