Make Ferrero Rocher Truffles At Home In 6 Easy Steps
If you're a lover of hazelnuts, then you're definitely a lover of the hazelnut truffles from Ferrero Rocher. Instead of spending over 10 dollars for a box of chocolate truffles, you can make your own right at home by following our six easy steps.
Ingredients for the filling include: Three cups of crushed hazelnut wafer cookies, three cups of chopped toasted hazelnuts, and one and one-fourth cup of hazelnut spread.
Ingredients for the coating include: one cup of dark chocolate chips, one teaspoon of coconut oil, and one and one-half cup of chopped and toasted hazelnuts.
Now that you have all of your ingredients together, you can start making your hazelnut truffles!
Step 1: In a bowl, combine the hazelnut wafer cookies, hazelnuts, and the hazelnut spread, and mix until well combined.
Step 2: Chill the mixture in the fridge for 30-45 minutes, or until the mixture is chilled and firm.
Step 3: Take mixture out of the fridge and shape into 2-ounce balls. Place the prepared balls on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Step 4: Chill the balls in the freezer for about 20 minutes, or until they have hardened.
Step 5: Combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high in 30 second increments until the chocolate has melted. Stir chocolate in between each microwave session. Add in chopped hazelnuts. Let the mixture cool slightly.
Step 6: Dip the chilled truffle inside the chocolate coating and place in a baking sheet to set. Repeat until all truffles are coated and place in the fridge for another 30 minutes before enjoying.
