Did You Know You Could Use Your Muffin Tin To Make Spaghetti Cups?
When you have guests over for dinner parties it's all about making bite sized foods that are both pretty and delicious. The only down side is that you sometimes can't serve classic comfort foods (burgers, spaghetti and meatballs, or meatloaf) because they don't look quite as nice on a plate. But thanks to your muffin tin, all of that is about to change. Thanks to this neat trick, you can make spaghetti and meatballs a comforting and tantalizing dish that will be a hearty party appetizer during the colder months ahead. The best part? It is super easy to do!
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Boil 6 ounces of spaghetti until they are a minute away from being al dente, drain, and let the spaghetti noodles cool. Once they are cool enough for you to handle with your hands, toss your spaghetti with 3 whisked egg whites, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 tablespoons of spaghetti sauce, and a sprinkle of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. Mix everything together until it is combined, then take 1/3 cup of the spaghetti mixture and put it in the first slot of your pre-greased muffin tin. Using your fingers press the spaghetti down the center and up the side of the muffin cup, forming spaghetti cups. Fill all your muffin cups and bake spaghetti cups in the oven for 15 minutes. Take the spaghetti cups out of the oven and place one cooked meatball in each cup. Top with extra spaghetti sauce and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.
And there you'll have it: spaghetti cups that are perfect for a dinner party, or even as a fun weeknight dinner for the kids.
