- Addie has two years of experience in online publishing, having previously edited, trained, and managed the HR Training and Development team for the entertainment sites Screen Rant, CBR, and Collider.
- Upon graduating college, she began her amateur chef journey, learning to cook her favorite cuisine (Italian), mix unique and refreshing cocktails, and do her best to become a wine sommelier, despite the fact that she loves almost every wine she tries. She's excited to bring her home-chef experience to The Daily Meal.
- A lover of all things literary, Addie is at work on a number of personal writing projects, and loves that her job allows her to stay immersed in the world of writing, editing, and publishing.
Experience
Addie started her career as a copyeditor at Screen Rant, where she learned invaluable lessons about the world of media and publishing, and eventually became the Training and Development Manager of HR. In college, she worked as an Arts & Culture writer at the student-run newspaper, The Daily Iowan, and on the editorial staff at The Iowa Review, the university's literary magazine. She studied abroad in Fiji, where she contributed to a university-sanctioned travel blog dedicated to inspiring and educating young travelers. Now an editor for The Daily Meal, she enjoys using her writing and editing background to publish pieces on delicious food and drink.
Education
Addie has a BA in English and Creative Writing from The University of Iowa, as well as a minor in Entrepreneurial Management.
