• Rini of Healing Tomato's Blog shared with us her vegetarian potato stacks, thinly sliced potatoes dipped in a Parmesan batter and baked in muffin tins to keep the stacks in place.
• Theresa of Food Hunter's Guide shared with us her apple and zucchini slaw, a fresh take on a classic BBQ side.
• The winner this week is Carrie Vibert of Poet in the Pantry. This meaty side dish is made in the slow cooker, leaving you free to man the grill.
All of the recipes featured can be made at home for about $20 or less, excluding the cost of small amounts of basic ingredients such as butter, oil, flour, sugar, salt, pepper, and other dried herbs and spices.
